Natalie Taylor is a doctoral student in Rhetoric and Professional Communication and a teacher of writing. She moved to Las Cruces in 2016 after finishing her Master's in Creative Writing, specializing in Creative Nonfiction, at the University of Alaska Fairbanks. Natalie also has experience in book design and magazine editing. In her spare time, she enjoys running with her two huskies, cooking, and spending time with her partner. |
Karen R. Trujillo, Director [email protected] Karen Tellez-Trujillo is a PhD student in the English Department at New Mexico State University (NMSU). She joined her cohort in 2014 after earning a Bachelor of Arts with honors in Rhetoric and Professional Communication, a Bachelor of Arts in Women’s Studies, and a Master of Arts in English with an emphasis in Rhetoric, Digital Media, and Professional Communication from NMSU. In the English Department, she has served as Writing Center Consultant and Coordinator and at present is a Writing Program Coordinator. She is associated with the National Writing Project as a fellow of the Borderlands Writing Project and Writing Across the Curriculum. She served for one year on the English Graduate Student Organization as secretary, was long involved in the English Undergraduate Student Organization, and is the current Secretary of the NMSU Chapter of the Rhetoric Society of America. Her research focuses on literacy, composition, writing across the disciplines, the rhetoric of emotion and the rhetoric of space. When Karen is not teaching, she enjoys reading, bingeing Netflix, crochet, and spending time with her three sons. The loves of her life are her children, her nieces and nephews, and the students who enrich her everyday experiences. |
